Thanks to generous members as well as corp-funded programs, Signal Cartel has a nice selection of exploration-related ships and other items available to all Signaleers. Much of it is geared toward new players and all of it is provided free of cost. So please take advantage of these offerings to help the corp!

It might sound weird to say you should take in order to help the corp. However, if you're a new player, becoming financially self-sufficient will provide you with a sense of achievement and allow you to explore fearlessly because you'll know you can replace the ships and equipment you'll inevitably lose. This leads to confidence and expertise, and THAT is what you can pass down to new members who will join after you. The free exploration ships and other resources provided by the corp can help you get there. USE THEM -- that's what they are there for! (Adapted from here)

There are two main ways of accessing these items:

  • Corporation Contracts
    • Available to all members, even our newest
  • Corporation Hangars

Locations

Corporate contracts and hangars are only available at the following stations:

Signal Cartel Corporate Offices
Gelhan V - Moon 10 - DED Logistic Support
Saisio VIII - Moon 4 - Perkone Factory
Thera XII - The Sanctuary Institute of Paleocybernetics
Turnur III - Moon 17 - Boundless Creation Factory
Zoohen III - Theology Council Tribunal

Guidelines for Use

  • Members, especially new players, are strongly encouraged to take advantage of these offerings to help them cut costs and remain active in space without fear of losses. Any member who has need is welcome to use these resources.
  • Please take only one free ship at a time. When you lose a ship, don't hesitate to replace it with a free one. Be advised that repeatedly taking multiple free items at a time or taking multiple free items over a period of time without corresponding losses on the killboard (yes, we audit this) is considered stealing and can get you kicked and banned from the corp.
  • If our Thera station is camped, do not continue to take free ships and get them repeatedly blown up by unclever undocking. Instead, consult with the brain trust in Alliance chat to learn more about your options in this scenario.
  • If something is "out of stock", poke the appropriate Station Quartermaster.

Corporation Contracts

How to Use

  1. Open Neocom Menu → Finance → Contracts to launch the "Contracts" window
  2. Select the "Start Page" tab on the upper left and then click the link for "...contracts assigned to your corporation - Auction and Item Exchange..."
  3. The "Contract Search" screen will appear.
  4. Browse the list of available contracts and/or refine your search using the options on the left to find what you want.
  5. Double-click the contract to see its details (please pay attention to the location of the item!)
  6. Click the Accept button.

Important Notes:

  • The game has a bug in how the corporation contracts are sorted and displayed on the "Contract Search" screen. So if your contract search has multiple pages, always check the subsequent pages for your item. Please read this forum post for more information.
  • If there are multiple contracts for the same item, please accept the contract with the shortest amount of "Time Left". Our Quartermasters greatly appreciate it because it reduces their workload in having to create the contract again after it expires. :)

What is on Contract?

The following should always be available on corporate contracts:

  • Shuttles (any combination of racial variants)
  • Station Containers (great for helping to sort your personal Item Hangar!)
  • Each type of Starter Exploration Frigates with T1 modules
    • Starter Probe
    • Starter Magnate
    • Starter Imicus
    • Starter Heron
  • Starter EvE-Scout Rescue Cache (ESRC) Supplies (5x pack), each should contain:
    • Small Secure Containers
    • Core Probe Launchers
    • Core Scanner Probes
    • Fun items (aka "hugs")
  • Fireworks and Festival Launchers

Corporation Hangars

Hangar Access Restrictions

  • Access to the corp hangars requires a C2 title upgrade.
  • For newer members that lack hangar access, please ask a C2 member to help you acquire the corp resources you need - alternatively, find it on corp contract.

How to Use

Accessing the Hangar

  1. Dock at one of our Corporate Bases (see above). You must be docked to access the hangars.
  2. Open the "Inventory" window (Alt+C)
  3. Click on "Corporation hangars" from the dropdown menu on the left, which will expand the list
  4. Browse to your heart's content...

Taking an Item

  1. Find the item that you need
  2. Press and hold the Shift Key and then Drag the item stack to your personal Item Hangar or Ship Hangar as appropriate.
  3. In the "Set Quantity" dialog box, type the number of the item that you need, then press OK.
  4. If you accidentally take too many of a particular item, please put the extras back where you found them.
