{{Template:ExplorersHandbook}} This is a list of gates, wormholes, and stations where camps frequently occur. Please feel free to update as New Eden evolves! See [[In-system_navigation_and_maneuvering#Choke_points|here]] for further discussion of gate, wormhole and station camps. == Gates == === Low-sec === * '''Ahbazon:''' With the fall of Niarja to the Triglavians, the only quick route (11 jumps) between Jita and Amarr runs through Ahbazon. The equivalent high-sec-only route is 44 jumps. With its low-sec status, the Abhazon gates are frequently camped with some of the most sophisticated gates camps fleets in low-sec. * '''Tama:''' A hot-bed of low-sec PVP activity, Tama's Nourvukaiken gate is often camped. * '''Rancer and Miroitem:''' These sit on a shortcut between Hek and Jita and are part of an active low-sec PVP-heavy pocket. * '''Vecamia:''' This plays a similar role to Ahbazon, but instead sits on the quickest route between Dodixie and Jita. Less frequently: * Any gate to high-sec with reasonable levels of traffic can occasionally have gate camps. These will range from kitchen-sink fleets to small, highly specialized groups of alts. The [https://eve-gatecheck.space/eve/ EVE Gatecamp Check] tool is often successful at identifying when camps are active. === High-sec === * '''Uedema and Sivala:''' All high-sec only traffic between Jita and any of the other main trading hubs has to go through the Uedema and Sivala pipe. Their relatively low security (0.5 and 0.6 respectively) mean that there is more time available to attack a passing ship before CONCORD intervenes. Catalyst suicide ganking fleets are common here. * <<Near Hek?>> * '''Odatrik, Jark, and Sasta:''' Any high-sec-only route from Amarr to any of the other trade hubs has to go through this pipe. Cautious players not willing to route through Ahbazon inevitably take this route, leaving them open to suicide ganking. Given the higher security of 0.8 for each of these, high-alpha damage ships are more common here, e.g. Thrashers. * '''Gheth:''' Another favorite suicide ganking spot on the high-sec route from Amarr, part of the Esescama to Mehatoor pipe. Security here is 0.6 and as a result, Catalysts are favored here. === Null-sec === * '''LXQ2-P's gate to Paala in the Forge:''' This is a popular route from Jita into Etherium Reach and other null-space regions to the east. The gate is accordingly often bubbled (with, for example, mobile warp disruptors) and camped. * <<...>> == Stations == * '''Jita:''' With its huge volume of high-value goods, the Jita dock and undock points are probably among the most dangerous location in New Eden. Suicide gankers and fast loot thiefs nearly permanently camp these. Tornados and Thrashers are most common, due to their high alpha damage, which is needed given the quick CONCORD time in this 0.9-security system. Use of insta-doc and insta-warp bookmarks is highly recommended. * '''Any of the other four main hubs:''' Often there are one or two suicide gankers opportunistically hanging around the undock points. * '''The Zainou Biotech Production facilities in Hiramon:''' The nearest Zainou facilities to Jita, they have persistent NPC buy orders for blue loot obtained by running wormhole combat sites and Sleeper Caches. Tornados often camp the docking area in the hope of catching PVE players prior to them cashing in their blue loot. ===Kick-out Stations=== Some station types can have you undock outside the docking perimeter. These are called "kick-out stations" and once undocked, you cannot immediately redock -- your ship needs to travel back inside the docking perimeter. The station types that are kick-out stations are [credit: Asa Kansene, Signal Cartel] * Gallente Industrial Station * Amarr Industrial Station * Minmatar Trade Post * Minmatar Hub * Minmatar Research Station * Minmatar Station The station type is given in some Overview configurations or by clicking on the station image in the station's information window. == Wormholes == * '''The Thera wormhole with the high-sec or low-sec entrance nearest to Jita''' * '''Any Thera wormhole with a high-sec entrance close to trade hubs''' Logistics in and out of Thera can be challenging and transport ships often aim for easy routes to Jita or other trade hubs. Hunters know this as well and often camp the Thera side of such wormholes with bubbles. Luckily all wormholes are no more than roughly 4 AU from celestials and as such can be checked easily from the Thera side.
