As Johnny Splunk mentioned on our forum, Signal Cartel does not have any restrictions on streaming. However, when one pilot’s streaming affects other pilots, as in the case of fleets, it is good practice to seek pre-approval for streaming activities.

Fleet Ops Division (FOD) does not have an official policy regarding streaming. We suggest the following guidelines to ensure that the safety and security of the fleet, as well as the privacy and comfort of your fleetmates, is not compromised by streaming activities.

• If you would like to stream a particular outing, please talk with the FC prior to the operation. The decision to allow streaming will be made on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the FC. Remember, their decision is final.
• You should make it known prior to fleet formup that the operation will be streamed. Some pilots prefer not to participate in streamed activities, and their preferences should be respected by providing ample time to opt out of any streamed activity.
• You should make it known what you will be streaming: fleet video only, fleet video and your own voice commentary, fleet video and fleet audio, etc.
• The following sensitive information should be obscured in the stream:
  • All location-related information, such as system name, destination/route, etc.;
  • Fleet chat;
  • Fleet watch list.
• Please ensure that any overview or d-scan information regarding your fleetmates’ names, ship types, locations, velocities, transversals, etc., is obscured in the stream.
• All streaming activities should uphold the Signal Cartel Credo and corporate official policies at all times.
