In the case that no existing medal suits the reason you are nominating for a medal, you can suggest a new medal be created by '''EVEmailing''' the CEO a well-considered and well-written name and description for the new medal. We will generally only entertain new medal suggestions if the medal can be potentially used for others going forward. Single-use medals will only be created in extremely extraordinary circumstances. Keep in mind that medals cost 5M to create, then 5M each time they are awarded.

When proposing new medals, provide a proposed name and BRIEF description that, in a perfect world, we can copy-paste when creating the medal in-game. In reality, both will likely be changed. Leadership has a thing about medal names. The best medal names reflect who we are, are dignified, and maybe clever in some classy way. You can't always hit all three criteria but aim high.

Medals can only be created by the CEO, Directors, and Recruiters who have access to a Corp wallet division. Once created, they can't be removed nor can names/descriptions be edited without submitting a support ticket. We get why CCP designed it that way...it prevents retro trolling of pilots later (medals are a permanent part of a pilot's record). But it also means that we aim to get medal names and descriptions right the first time so we don't have to bother the GMs with clerical requests.
