Welcome to The Splunkworks Division!
Signal Cartel's not so clandestine, ship research and development division.

This is the place where Theorycrafters like to hang out and tell stories about 'The one that got away', or maybe, 'That time that we got away'. But as much as we all like fireside chats, there is work to be done.
With the fairly steady supply of fresh capsuleers that New Eden provides us, there are nearly endless opportunities to help out our comrades! We all know how steep the EVE Learning Curve is! It is one thing to give someone a link to a complete fit in alliance chat; it is quite a different experience to teach them what it means, and how it all works together. This is the direction that we see for Splunkworks moving forward. A place to gain knowledge, as well as share it.
While there are certainly a handful of prolific posters on the Splunkworks forums and the #fitting-lab
Discord channel, that in no way should dissuade anyone from sharing their own knowledge.
EVE is ever-changing, new events pop up, slot layouts change, nerfs happen. All these things in mind, there is a solid chance that one's information is, unbeknownst to them, outdated. So the more ears we have to the ground, the better.
With all that said, here is a very short list of thoughts on how YOU can get involved with the division, and some ways in which we can help others.
For Those Starting Out:
- Get help in figuring out how to fit ships.
- Learn why we fit ships in certain ways.
- Learn more about which modules do what, and why.
- Get help in understanding the strengths and weaknesses of different hulls.
For Those With Know-How to Spare:
- Help in teaching all of the above.
- Show newer pilots other possibilities they may not have thought of.
- Collaborate with other theorycrafters and share your ideas and fits.
- Help organize instructional and entertaining in-game operations.
- Help design and test fits for upcoming event sites.
Future Splunkworks (not so secret) Projects
- “Fit of the Month”
- A monthly forum post from the Splunkworks Team
- Chances to collaborate with us in the testing of new fits
- Opportunities to test your own theories and fits
- And even recurring in-game events designed to hone your skills as an explorer, prizes included, who doesn't like prizes!
