TS:Thera and Turnur Scanning

The Thera Scanning Endeavor is a free public service tasked with scanning and documenting the ever-changing wormhole connections into and out of Thera for the benefit of all capsuleers. This crowdsourced service is the original project that led Johnny Splunk and G8keeper to form the EvE-Scout corporation, which led to the eventual formation of Signal Cartel.

What is Thera?

Thera is a gigantic and unique shattered wormhole system that contains four NPC stations and a large number of ever-changing wormhole connections. In particular, Thera has an unusually high number of wormholes leading to New Eden (K-space) in addition to connections to the rest of Anoikis (J-space). This results in the system being much more tethered to K-space than to J-space making it a hub system of sorts comparable to Sigil or Grand Central Station. By connecting vastly distant regions of New Eden together, Thera can be used as a shortcut through space; our Thera Scanning Endeavor makes this process quick and convenient for all travelers. Thera was introduced to EVE Online with the Rhea expansion on December 9th, 2014.

Who is EvE-Scout?

EvE-Scout is the sister corporation to Signal Cartel. The CEO of EvE-Scout is Johnny Splunk who also happens to be our co-founder and Alliance Executor.

Thera Scanning Roles

Thera Scanners

• Everyone, new Signaleers included, are encouraged to become a Thera Scanner! 📡
• Thera Scanners scan signatures and add them to Tripwire and make bookmarks and save them our internal folder.
• The internal Signal Cartel \\ Thera folder acts as a drop box and only contains new bookmarks rather than the full list.
• Thera Scanners no longer need to use the "Manage Bookmarks" pane in the Thera Scan Tool.
• If any bookmarks seem wrong, please call them out in the #thera-scanning Discord channel.

Bookmark Managers

• Our most dedicated scanners care for the bookmarks in our public folder. They check new bookmarks, move them from the internal folder to the public one, and delete expired ones.
• They use the "Manage Bookmarks" pane in the Thera Scan Tool to compare current Tripwire and Probe Scan signatures with the public bookmarks folder.
• Please note that the public EVE-Scout \\ Thera folder is only editable by Bookmark Managers.

How to Become a Bookmark Manger

Time and dedication can earn you membership in this group and the responsibility that comes with it.

Requirements:

• C2 status
• 180 days in corp
• Personally vetted by the Thera Scanning Liaison
• Please note that this role will be revoked after 2 months of Thera Scanning inactivity.
• If you are interested and qualify, please send an in-game EVEmail to Leadership (Katia Sae and Aldar Roanaok).
