The EvE-Scout Mapping Division scans and publicly documents the ever-changing wormhole connections into and out of the hub systems of Thera and Turnur through our EvE-Scout Wormhole Connections website. This free service is provided to all capsuleers regardless of playstyle or allegiance.

Thera Scanning was the original crowdsourced project that led Johnny Splunk and G8keeper to form the EvE-Scout corporation, which led to the eventual formation of Signal Cartel and the EvE-Scout Enclave alliance!

What is Thera?

Thera is a gigantic and unique shattered wormhole system containing four NPC stations and many ever-changing wormhole connections. In particular, Thera has an unusually high number of wormholes leading to New Eden (K-space) in addition to connections to the rest of Anoikis (J-space). This results in the system being much more tethered to K-space than to J-space making it a hub system of sorts comparable to Sigil or Grand Central Station. By connecting vastly distant regions of New Eden, Thera can be used as a shortcut through space; the EvE-Scout Mapping Division makes this process quick and convenient for all travelers. Thera was introduced to EVE Online with the Rhea expansion on December 9th, 2014.

What is Turnur?

The system of Turnur has become a nexus much like Thera, except that is located in the low-security space of Metropolis. However, this wasn't always the case. After an extreme stellar event devastated the system, a large number of wormhole connections spontaneously opened up for reasons unknown. This tragic event presented an opportunity for Signal Cartel to expand our mapping services to Turnur.

More recently, an ancient Jovian stargate was discovered in Turnur leading to the new system of Zarzakh. The mystery continues!

Who is EvE-Scout?

EvE-Scout is the sister corporation to Signal Cartel. The CEO of EvE-Scout is Katia Sae who also is our Alliance Executor.

Mapping Roles

Scouts

  • Everyone, new Signaleers included, are encouraged to become a Scout! 📡
  • Our Scouts scan signatures with the Hub Scan Tool and make bookmarks and save them our internal folder.
  • The internal Signal Cartel \\ Thera folder acts as a drop box and only contains new bookmarks rather than the full list.
  • If any bookmarks seem wrong, please call them out in the #mapping-lounge Discord channel.

Bookmark Managers

  • Our most dedicated Scouts care for the bookmarks in our public folder. They check new bookmarks, move them from the internal folder to the public one, and delete expired ones. For more info, click here.
  • They use the "Manage Bookmarks" pane in the Hub Scan Tool to compare current signatures with the public bookmarks folder.
  • Please note that the public EVE-Scout \\ Thera folder is only editable by Bookmark Managers.

Time and dedication can earn you membership in this group and the responsibility that comes with it.

  • C2 status
  • 180 days in corp
  • Personally vetted by a Mapping Admin
  • Please note that this role will be revoked after 2 months of scanning inactivity.
