My vision filled with red as my shield klaxons went off. What the heck?! I pull my attention from both probing and daydreaming to recognize a Pacifier sitting a few thousand kilometers away blasting away at me. I flipped the Micro Warp Drive to full and selected a point to warp to. In less than 3 seconds I was aligned and mentally braced for the jump to warp. And nothing happened. I frantically look around when I see the web and scram warnings flashing in my mental HUD. And at that point my shields fail altogether. With a sinking feeling I reach up to wipe the phantasm remains of dirt and sod from my face. My armor is now done, and as if a conductor in an orchestra signaled for a punctuation to a movement of music, my ship fell apart around me.
I pull myself out of my reverie to jump my pod to a safe point in space and give the mental command to warp. Again, the scram and web warnings start howling in my mind. What was in that canister?! Was it a very small clue that my sisters and I hunt for? I shall never know as I feel the great machinery around me peel my very thoughts from my body and send them hurtling back to the clone bay.
