New players Tripware and Wormholes ¿What i am doing? please Help
Hi, if you are reading this is because you are a Nem Member of Signal Cartel and like we always do at the beggining of your career in Sc, you are having problems with what in the name of BoB am i doing here. Don't worry grab something to drink take a deep breath and put on some chill music.
Signal Cartel:
You have just joined one of the best eve corporations online dedicated to scouting, rescuing lost pilots and mapping thera highway on a voluntary basis. It is logical that you think that we have a high level of demand and that we are going to expel you for committing carelessness, but the truth is that this is not going to happen.
Practice makes perfect and it takes patience and a few explosions to create a good explorer who knows how to fend for himself in the universe of eve. So let's go step by step, okay?
1 Objectives:
You just scanned a wormhole, you saved the location making a new (Bm), you have activated Allison and Tripware in your browser. You find yourself in a totally random wormhole, let's keep a few things in mind.
- 1 What do I have?
- Ship: You must take into account the strengths and weaknesses of the aforementioned, as well as its capabilities if you are a player who has started from scratch in eve-online. It is normal that you do not know which is the best ship for your style of play, I recommend that you start with a T1: (Heron, Imicus, Magnate and Probe) they are very versatile ships with a low cost in case of "Boom" which will give you They will allow you to start your career as an explorer.
- Allison: Your best ally, who will give you real-time information about what happened in the wormhole you just entered. Keep in mind that Allison will remind you from time to time to press "V" to make use of your D-Scan key by default and she does not do it to be annoying, but to create a habit in you which will help you from now on. Go ahead, knowing what's around you is a great advantage.
- Tripware: It is an external program which we use to orient ourselves inside wormholes. Think it's our gps, absolutely necessary so as not to get lost in a wormhole. But since a member of the Signal Cartel is impossible to get lost that should not worry you.
- Overview: Signal cartel has its own, created by one of our members, is it perfect? No, but it's almost perfect, I recommend you use it since the default version of eve-online is archaic and can easily lead you to "Boom".
- Cloack: Thanks to this module/ability we are able to move without being seen to take data and reflect in the middle of space about what we are doing. It basically makes us invisible, it is not 100% foolproof, but it is an immense help during our exploration.
- 2 What am I doing inside a wormhole?
That is a great question and you are the only one who knows the answer, you are in command use your tools and mark small goals as you go. It is great to think that you are going to be the best rescue pilot or a great explorer, but if you are reading this, it is because you are just starting out and setting micro objectives is the key to increase your self-confidence and improve your gaming skills. Climb the steps of your career as an explorer one at a time.
- Relic / Data: Hacking is a great way to isk, be aware of the different signature types, if your ship is combat ready and your escape time if you hack a Ghost Site.
- Gas: There are numerous different types of gases that can be found inside wormholes. As abundant as lucrative.
- Combat Sites: They vary by level and in them you will face rats of different types, with different attack tactics, modules, ship types, quantity.
- Cache (Tend / Sow): Surely and at this point you are aware that Allison will have informed you that you have entered a wormhole and that you need to tend / sow. It is a very frequent activity within our corp, thanks to it we can be able to help lost pilots.
- Rescue: Finding a lost pilot is a great experience for each of the members that are part of Signal Cartel, it is a process that takes time, skill and in many cases some luck.
- Visual Art: Wormholes are full of wonder for the eyes of an explorer. Inside them you can see planets, suns, supernovae, constellations and vestiges of the past which in their own way tell a great story. I recommend that you try it from time to time, not everything in this game is non-stop isk.
- Events: Eve events occur from time to time and are varied, but many of them occur inside a wormhole if they do not violate the creed of our corp feel free to enjoy them, remember that you can always do them with an alt character.
2 Wormholes:
In order to describe a wormhole, let's imagine a maze within a maze enclosed within another maze which changes its entrances and exits every 16 hours. For this reason we use tripware to minimize the headaches of remembering so much information at the same time and to have fun while exploring.
That being said, let's divide wormholes into categories in a simple way.
- 2.1 Easy (Class 1-2-3): Within these we will find the largest number of players and as a general rule they will not have the best combat ability regarding hunting explorers like you, we will also find access to unprotected relic / data from rats to help our personal economy. Likewise, finding an exit to High / Low sec will be much easier for us since many of them have permanent exits to these last two mentioned above.
- 2.2 Difficult (Class 4-5-6): Here we will notice a radical change, the number of players is reduced to an average of one to three as a general rule. All the relic/data are protected by fleets of rats, gas zones defended by turrets with a large amount of damage per second (Dps) and the pilots that enter here know what they are doing and how they should do it. It may be that among their activities is hunting scouts and that they have the perfect ship to do it.
- 2.3 No Category (The rest): All wormholes that are not within ranges 1-6 enter here. And from personal experience I will say that there is no plan here. You literally go on an adventure, there is no defined pattern, there is no data, normality does not exist. You can find all the entrances protected with bubbles, war fleets that are on their way to combat, two lost ventures doing God knows what... Enjoy it is always a good experience.
Doors, Exits and Signs:
A wormhole is basically the door to your house, it has an address, an age, and it talks to you if you can take the time to listen to what it has to say. When entering a new wormhole, the first thing we have to do is save our output as well as the four-number code that appears in the wormhole, that is the code. Which will save us time when scanning since we know the exact position of where the signature that we have to scan is, it may seem ridiculous but it saves a lot of time.
We must remember that after having carried out this process our priority is to stay alive, for this we will make a warp jump to a random planet or to the sun to create a random bm more or less in the middle of the two points, this is known as a safe spot and It will help us stay alive. If you think it's safer to stick to the exit of the wormhole, I'm afraid you've made the wrong choice, that particular point is one of the easiest places to hunt you down.
- Doors: When approaching a door we must take into account not to make a bm until we are at a distance from which we can see it, since if we make a bm from our scanner screen we will find the problem that the game will It will jump to 5 km instead of 0 km regardless of whether we hit 0, this may seem absurd, but it is the difference between continuing to explore and "Boom".
