Clearing Expired Signatures

1. Claim the signature(s) in the TheraMap channel: -ABC...
2. Delete the signature(s) from Tripwire
3. Report they have been cleared from Tripwire in the TheraMap channel: ABC--

Note: people often omit the first step if there aren't other scouts actively mapping Thera. Please don't omit it if there are, to avoid duplicated work.

Bookmark managers: also delete the bookmarks on both sides of the wormhole after step 2.

Mapping New Signatures

This is a high-level overview of what to do when mapping a new signature. It is not intended to be a detailed description of exactly what happens at every step: each scout has their own process, and what works for a very experienced scout will probably not work for a new less experienced pilot.

1. Claim the signature in the TheraMap channel: +ABC...
2. Scan the signature and, assuming it is a wormhole, warp to it (if not, skip to step 5)
3. Bookmark the Thera side of the Wormhole, from the overview not the probe window
4. Splash through and bookmark the destination side of the wormhole, e.g. XYZ-789 Gateway -> Thera
5. Update the Thera-side bookmark with the destination system name, etc, e.g. ABC-123 Gateway (LS)
6. Enter the details into Tripwire from Thera, remembering to increase the expiry time by an hour
7. Report the signature has been finished in the TheraMap channel: ABC++

Note: People logging in/joining the channel do not see any prior history, so it is common for new people to announce an already claimed signature. In that case, just mention again it is already being worked on. If two pilots end up finishing the same signature anyway, please do not get upset: we are all human, and it is easy to miss a message in chat. Mistakes and miscommunications are inevitable. Assume good faith from your fellow Signaleers and remember we are all working together for a common goal and the common good.

Tips and tricks:

1. You can copy & paste the signature details to Tripwire whenever you have it scanned down, then edit/add extra details as you learn them.
   1. Select the signature in the probe window and press Control-C to copy
   2. Switch focus to the Tripwire tab in your browser and press Control-V to paste
   3. Make sure you copy & paste only the single signature you are working on!
2. When creating the Thera-side bookmark you can give it the full correct name, only missing the destination system (e.g. ABC-123 Wormhole (LS)). Then double-click it to start editing, and update it after splashing.
   1. It is possible to always know the destination system type and wormhole type...
   2. You can tell the destination class (C1-C6) of Anoikis systems visually
   3. Incoming holes into Thera are of types T458, M164, L031, F353, F135; from HS, LS, NS, C1, and C2-C6 respectively.
3. The new system name will be shown in the local chat channel before anywhere else. If you have the BM open for editing you can usually update and save it before you load grid.

Bookmark Managers

1. Check and move valid signatures from the private Signal Cartel \\ Thera folder to the public EVE-Scout \\ Thera folder
   1. The extent of checking required is up to manager's discretion
   2. Checking Thera-side bookmarks are correctly placed is generally recommended, especially when made by scouts with less experience
2. Delete expired bookmarks
3. Watch out for discrepancies, incorrectly placed/named bookmarks, or other issues. Depending on the issue, as appropriate: correct it, gently remind the person responsible of the correct process, raise it in Discord, and/or let the Thera team leader know to handle it.
