A few years ago I fancied a Star Wars kind of game and googled around. What I found was Eve Online. I spent about a year in Eve Uni mostly exploring places on my main character and hauling and building rare stuff on my alt. After that I had a long gap due to RL matters.
When I returned to Eve in 2018 I decided to start from scratch and write an in-character blog about my adventures in New Eden. My new character was called Vladimir Korff because I wanted a realistic name which people would be comfortable using (I, for one, would be at a loss if I had to greet Dabigredboat) and which sounded and looked cool. The result of this new endeavour was a series of more than 100 posts covering the backstory of my character, his capsuleer training and the start of an independent career. The backstory was completely fictional but the rest was based on the actual events in New Eden.
As the novelty of freelancing had started to wear thin I looked for a corp where I could find new content. Being part of EON blogosphere I had been aware of Signal Cartel and its blog for some time. As my character's aspiration (strongly supported by Aura) was to become a proficient explorer, Signal Cartel seemed to be a perfect fit.
In real life I live in AUTZ and am one of those poor souls whose blissful Eve Online experience is rudely interrupted by daily downtime. I am usually online on weeknights. Weekends are patchy but also more flexible.
