Policy:Flying in Out-of-Corp Fleets

Flying in an out-of-corp fleet is not prohibited by the Credo, but there are certain considerations that a Signaleer needs to keep in mind when doing so.

The general rules of engagement are the same for all Signal Cartel pilots when on a fleet, regardless of whether it is in-house or out-of-corp:

PvP engagement is OK if:

  • The fleet is traveling and gets engaged by another group.
  • The fleet is dropped on.

PvP engagement is not OK if:

  • The fleet is proactively or reactively trying to save haulers, salvagers, scouts, other members or assets of the fleet.
  • The fleet is trying to break a gate camp.
  • A Signaleer is providing probing or scouting with the intent to find PVP targets.

On out-of-corp fleets, it is the Signaleer's responsibility to make the FC aware of our policies before joining, so they know we can only assist in certain situations and can approve that limitation. If the FC asks the Signaleer not to participate as a result of Credo constraints, the pilot must leave graciously. A Signaleer can participate in an out-of-corp fleet on an alt, as long as there is clear separation between the alt’s activities and those of the Signal Cartel main character.

Signaleers must remember that our neutral reputation and upholding of the Credo is a higher priority than their ships or any content they might want to run. When an out-of-corp fleet comes under fire — and it inevitably will — how a Signaleer responds in that moment will become part of our public record. We must ensure that our actions do us proud!
