Signal Cartel’s approach to war declarations (“wardecs”) has remained consistent since the beginning: sometimes we have them, sometimes we don’t, and we aren’t much bothered by either condition. As explorers, we are masters of flying undetected into all parts of space and we know how to get to the places we need to get to, regardless of the possibly hostile intent of other players against us.
Our official stance regarding wardec eligibility is simple: we keep structures anchored in the alliance specifically so that we remain eligible for wars, thus discouraging activities outside of exploration for our members. We are first and foremost an exploration corp. We will continue to regard an active wardec as an opportunity to hone our piloting skills, and we will carry on as before.
Management understands that there is a large community of pilots who want to run missions and do industry in highsec with relative safety and that such pilots may be discouraged from joining the corporation because of our stance on wardecs. We acknowledge that mission running and industry are legitimate playstyles, but they are not the primary focus of Signal Cartel. Therefore, this Policy is intentionally designed to assist with attracting and retaining pilots who fit our playstyle.
